Trim and Score Board: Favourite Junk Journal Tool

Trim and Score Board

A paper trimmer is a must have tool for making a junk journal. Whilst I own a couple of paper trimmers, my favourite is the Trim and Score board from We R Memory Keepers®.

Scoring and trimming in one board

Scoring and trimming in one tool is genius! The board folds for easy storage, and the plastic bone folder has a slot underneath.

When you unfold the board, you turn it over and move the two securing clips into place. Thus the 12 inch wide board stays flat while in use.

The (blue) guide for scoring folds back. Then the magnetic ruler with the built-in cutter flips down into the cutting guide position, ready to use. (See below)

What is the Trim and Score board for?

When you make a junk journal, you cut paper to size, score the fold lines. Generally this means you need two tools.

You will love this all-in-one tool.

My four favourite tools for junk journalling are:

  1. 1-2-3 Punchboard
  2. Trim and Score® Board
  3. Crop-a-dile
  4. Magnetic Staple Board

I have become a great fan of We R Memory Keepers tools for paper crafting.

While I have no affiliation with the W R M K company, I get a commission from Amazon Australia if you purchase using the link above. This helps to keep the website online. Thank you.

I have had many careers in my 70+ years, but always creativity was at the forefront. I am passionate about using less and wasting less. I love design, painting, decorating, and now I am combining all that into making junk journals. Creating is like breathing for me!
