Travelling in the Winnebago around the Riverina saw us wondering at the size of the grain paddocks. Miles and miles of golden grain fields, set against a backdrop of dark green treeline, and the biggest azure blue sky.
We came across three wedge tailed eagles enjoying the fruits of their kill a baby lamb — in a paddock full of ewes and lambs. Natural selection, I suppose.
The pretty town of Barellan (home of Evonne Goolagong, our famous tennis player) was a delight, as was Condoblin.
Here’s a collage page in my journal of some of our latest days:
I used a stencil I had of an eagle to add the story about the three eagles, and I’m going to add detail with feathers and markings once I get an image to go by.
