A new year and some new students, as well as the 'old' ones. Work continues on the quilts started last year.
Catherine completed her queen sized quilt top and basted it ready to quilt, and then decided that she'd prefer to pay me to quilt is as she felt she couldn't tackle it herself at this stage.
I have almost finished the quilting and will show you when it's done.
Both Catherine and Margaret have made a couple of table runners , using these to learn a few new block designs. They both did Card Trick, Catherine one with Rising Star, while Margaret has done another with Best of All.
Margaret has been finishing the quilting on the last of three hexagon quilts started by her (late) mother.
Her Listen With Your Eyes quilt for the Quilts for Keeps project is quilted and bound and looking fabulous.
Catherine O'Neill's wonderful bright baby quilt is amazing! Jenny made a lovely simple medallion piece for her Grandmother as a Christmas gift, featuring a gorgeous japanese print fabric in blacks, reds, purples and creams.
They are still having fun!
