Catherine, Jennene and Margaret have been coming all year.
Jennene made some lounge cushion covers, some stylish designer pillows and was very proud of her efforts, as she hasn't sewn before.
Catherine started patchworking with Angela (my daughter) last year, and as Angela is now in far North Queensland, Catherine comes to me. She has finished one quilt— started with Angela.
At present she is finishing the top of a queen size quilt in the Jewel Box block design, but has changed the colours in some blocks to create a medallion effect. The corner blocks in the quilt were a joint effort in design between Margaret and Catherine.
I am going to quilt this one for Catherine as she doesn't have the confidence yet to tackle one this size. (I'm working on that!)
Well done you two.
Margaret has been finishing the quilting on the three hexagon quilts started by her (late) mother Here she is last year with the biggest one. Much quilting, much work, but very beautiful.
As well, she has made a table runner for her dining table in dark dusky pinks and navy, with dark cream background. (Picture soon)
Lastly, Margaret has helped to baste one of the quilts she made for the Quilts for Keeps project last year, and she's to start quilting it next lesson.
