Paint fabrics in colours that are Australian — outback, desert, rocks, skies, water...

Using fabric paints and white/unbleached fabrics, you will learn some different techniques to produce your own fabrics.

Get the exact colours you want easily, safely without having to learn dyeing, or using dangerous chemicals.

Backgrounds for collage style landscape quilts

Easy, fast builds for landscape quilts

Create backgrounds using the colour scheme from your inspiration, perhaps a photograph. Nine patch or strip piecing or other techniques, ready for embellishing with the focal point of the quilt to be added on top.

• Skill level: beginner/intermediate
• Two days or regular weekly classes of 6 x 2 hours lessons

Paper Piecing the Jan T Way — Easily!

Sewing on the Line

Foundation paper piecing by machine (Jan T’s way) using blocks from Sew Precise! and EQ software.

Learn how easy is it to make perfectly pieced patchwork blocks every time.

You will make the three starter blocks for a cot quilt or a small wall hanging (size can be expanded). See what Mary did (the delightful sailing boats centre) and what Elaine made for her first quilt (the orange one).

Quilts from Your Fabric Stash

A class where you learn some new, very fast techniques for piecing traditional blocks. You will discover how easy it is to use ALL your fabrics — even the ones you think ‘don’t go’ — while discovering the theory of colour “value”.

• Two days or regular weekly classes of 6 x 2 hours lessons

Beyond Basic: Listen Some More

A class where you learn to adapt traditional blocks and expend the Listen With Your Eyes system to include borders and framing, and designing quilts.

• Skill level: anyone who has tried the ‘LWYE’ method or who has the book and wants to expand their knowledge.
